Introducing a new member of the genus Chlorophyllum: Chlorophyllum sapukai sp. nov., and new records from Paraguay

Discovered in Paraguay, Chlorophyllum sapukai is a new species based on morphological characters and multigene molecular phylogenetic analyses (ITS, LSU, RPB2 TEF1 markers). Macroscopically, the characterized by large agaricoid basidiomata, with hemispherical to broad convex pileus, yellowish cream buff surface of pileus covered centrally plate-like squamules. Microscopically, abundant cheilocystidia (35–50 × 14–20 µm), truncate basidiospores defined germ pore (9–10 6.5–7.5 μm), covering arranged as trichodermial palisade at hortense recorded for first time Paraguay distribution C. molybdites expanded. Detailed descriptions, field photographs position occurring are presented. A key neotropical also provided.

Two new steroid derivatives, (22E,24R)-3alpha-ureido-ergosta-4,6,8(14),22-tetraene (1) and (22E,24R)-5alpha,8alpha-epidioxyergosta-6,9,22-triene-3beta-ol 3-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (2) were isolated from the fruit bodies of Chlorophyllum molybdites (Agaricaceae).
